Transcript
TREY GERRALD:

Hey, where's my bottle, mommy?

CHELSEY DONN:

Get it yourself.

TREY GERRALD:

Heard.

VOICEOVER:

Everybody's got an opinion, Every Californian and Virginian, It's so hard to tell who to trust and who to ignore, Someone's gotta settle the score., Trey and Chelsey will help you choose, Whose views win which ones lose, Online haters are coming for you, Baby, it's time to Review That Review!,

CHELSEY DONN:

Hello,

TREY GERRALD:

Ooh, and welcome to Review That Review.

TREY GERRALD:

We are the podcast that is dedicated to reviewing.

CHELSEY DONN:

Reviews!

TREY GERRALD:

That is Chelsey Donn.

CHELSEY DONN:

And that is Trey Gerrald.

TREY GERRALD:

But why don't you just call us collectively?

VOICEOVER:

The Review Queens,

TREY GERRALD:

Oh, I thought of something I had to tell you in the after show.

CHELSEY DONN:

But first, Trey, it's actually in real time been a minute since I've seen your beautiful face.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I'm so happy to be back here with you.

CHELSEY DONN:

And it's been a while since I've given you the opportunity to,

VOICEOVER:

Lodge a complaint,

CHELSEY DONN:

so I would love to give you the floor.

CHELSEY DONN:

What would you like to complain about this week?

TREY GERRALD:

Well, first of all, ditto.

TREY GERRALD:

And then, okay, I need to be vulnerable and I actually am very excited to be lodging this because this is a real call to arms to anyone listening.

TREY GERRALD:

I actually, this isn't just like, hey, call in.

TREY GERRALD:

I actually really would love anyone's advice on this topic, starting with you, Chelsey.

TREY GERRALD:

So I need to lodge a complaint about nose hair.

TREY GERRALD:

So comedy aside, like, you know, especially with men, it seems to be a gendered thing.

TREY GERRALD:

Like as you get older, like your ear hair and your nose hair starts to become more pronounced.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

So, I'm very conscious of trimming my nose hair, and I have like an electric trimmer, you know, that has the little like adapter thing that's a circle, and like it has the cup, yes, so, I do that, but for, like, somehow it doesn't always get all of the hair, which is a thing, right?

TREY GERRALD:

And then I have experienced in my life, when it starts growing back, my nose is exceedingly sensitive, and I like feel like the inside feels kind of raw in a way, and it's like when I'm breathing in too hard, like it's, Tingles, I'm just at sort of at a loss.

TREY GERRALD:

I have once in my life.

TREY GERRALD:

It was when I was in Los Angeles doing a show.

TREY GERRALD:

I got my nose hairs and my ear hairs waxed.

TREY GERRALD:

And that was crazy.

TREY GERRALD:

And it was great and awesome.

TREY GERRALD:

But then so many people like slid into my DMs and were like, Hey, that's actually really kind of dangerous because you're opening all the, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

And then I'm also sort of like, well, Can I just go to like, who does, who does nose hair waxing?

TREY GERRALD:

Like, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

I guess I could do a Google and figure it out.

TREY GERRALD:

It's 2024, but I'm like, do I go to the nail salon down the street and like ask them if they'll wax my, like, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

But I'm now in this place where I am standing over people often and, and I feel very subconscious that people are looking at my nose hair.

TREY GERRALD:

Now it's become a thing, but what's the real issue is that I always feel like I have a booger.

TREY GERRALD:

I always feel like I have a booger.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm saying it a third time.

TREY GERRALD:

I always feel like there's a loose booger in one of my nostrils.

TREY GERRALD:

And then I'm like, I have to go blow my nose.

TREY GERRALD:

And Chelsey, I will literally tell you this is not an exaggeration.

TREY GERRALD:

There's never a booger.

TREY GERRALD:

Like I blow my nose.

TREY GERRALD:

I take Zyrtec.

TREY GERRALD:

Like I have hygiene, but I am so self conscious that I'm going to have something in my nose that is going to be so unappealing.

TREY GERRALD:

And, and it's like, I don't know, maybe it's the hair growing back or it's the hairs that I can't access.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, that's my tirade.

TREY GERRALD:

I have to lodge this complaint about nose hairs.

TREY GERRALD:

Please, anyone listening, what do I do?

TREY GERRALD:

Chelsey, do you have any experience with nose hairs?

TREY GERRALD:

It's kind of a weird question.

CHELSEY DONN:

I have so many more opinions on this than I think you would think.

TREY GERRALD:

Oh, good, good, good.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

A few things.

CHELSEY DONN:

One, I hear you because like, even though I am really about body positivity and everyone show up as they are, I'm very grossed out by nose hairs and

TREY GERRALD:

It's a weird

CHELSEY DONN:

Like I'm grossed out by like an older person with like long nose hairs and long ear.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like it is kind of like, like I'm like, Ooh, like it's unappealing.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's how I feel about it.

CHELSEY DONN:

I still accept you and love you for who you are.

CHELSEY DONN:

But that's like my initial visceral response.

CHELSEY DONN:

So that's number one.

TREY GERRALD:

Me too.

CHELSEY DONN:

two, since you are vulnerable, I'll be vulnerable.

CHELSEY DONN:

I have PCOS.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I,

TREY GERRALD:

callback.

CHELSEY DONN:

because, don't even.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I get my face lasered from time to time because hormonal hair growth is a symptom of PCOS.

CHELSEY DONN:

And while they're in there, they're always like, do you want us to laser your nostrils?

CHELSEY DONN:

and I'm like Yeah, sure.

CHELSEY DONN:

Why not?

CHELSEY DONN:

While we're in here.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I've had my nose hair lasered multiple times.

CHELSEY DONN:

It doesn't feel good.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's like, ow, like for like a second, but then it's over.

CHELSEY DONN:

And like, I don't have nose hair.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like,

TREY GERRALD:

It's not stubbly stuff.

CHELSEY DONN:

no, I think I just have nothing because I've had, I've had it lasered like multiple times.

CHELSEY DONN:

They don't do it every time because I think I'm good now.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, my issue is like, is up here.

TREY GERRALD:

It's like where

CHELSEY DONN:

You should have it lasered maybe.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

Just Google nose hair lasering.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah,

TREY GERRALD:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

I've never tried that.

TREY GERRALD:

So

CHELSEY DONN:

when I was in there, they just like sort of did it, so like, I don't think that they'd think it was weird.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't know about the ear hair,

TREY GERRALD:

Well, the good thing about ear hair is that even at a supercut, when they're cutting like your neckline, a lot of times they'll be like, they'll just get in there and get the ear hair, which is nice.

CHELSEY DONN:

another haircut, but you're not going to ask the person doing your haircut to be like, while you're in there,

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, can you stick that up my nose?

TREY GERRALD:

Literally.

TREY GERRALD:

All right, well,

CHELSEY DONN:

I hear you, that's, That's a valid complaint.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's one I hadn't thought of, but I feel you and I'm sure our listeners can relate.

CHELSEY DONN:

I bet a lot of people out there can relate to unwanted nose and ear hair.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I've added it to the ledger.

TREY GERRALD:

thank you.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, alright, so now that we've delved into some of that complaining ness, should we jump into an online review, which will either be more complaining, or, I don't know, maybe it'll be nowhere, it'll be a three star somewhere in the middle, or maybe it'll be a five star.

TREY GERRALD:

You want to jump in?

CHELSEY DONN:

Let's do it.

VOICEOVER:

Review That Review,

CHELSEY DONN:

As you know, we are your trustee Review queens.

CHELSEY DONN:

We bring in reviews from the internet that we feel need to be inspected.

TREY GERRALD:

We read you a review, break it down, and rate the impact of that review on a scale from zero to five crowns.

TREY GERRALD:

It's a very regal process that we call.

VOICEOVER:

Assess That Kvetch,

TREY GERRALD:

And this week, Chelsey, have secured the review.

TREY GERRALD:

So tell us what have you brought in?

CHELSEY DONN:

I would love to share, so speaking of connecting with our listeners over things like nose, hair, and ear hairs, I wanna connect with one of our listeners this week because Trey, we have a very special listener submission.

CHELSEY DONN:

One of you real life Queen listeners out there has slid into our DMs and told us that you found this particular review funny and we wanted to share it with the rest of our audience.

CHELSEY DONN:

So let's get into it.

CHELSEY DONN:

First of all, I have to give credit where credit is due and give a shout out to Spoons of Stardust on Instagram.

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you so much.

CHELSEY DONN:

We love, love, love hearing from you and this was such a treat.

CHELSEY DONN:

So thank you.

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you.

CHELSEY DONN:

This review definitely went viral.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's an Amazon review for, I will give you the full supercala here.

CHELSEY DONN:

Carundo Women's 2024 Summer Short Sleeve V Neck Bohemian Floral Print Mini Dress Ruffle Swing A Line Beach Sundress Red Extra Large.

VOICEOVER:

It's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, so it's a sundress.

CHELSEY DONN:

So it's a sundress this particular type is currently out of stock in case you get the review and you want to go Run and get it, but there are lots of other dresses Similar and I want to say they're around the like 35 under 50 range Just to give us an idea of price point.

TREY GERRALD:

So in full disclosure, I saw this review and Chelsey and I talked about it.

TREY GERRALD:

I didn't read it in detail.

TREY GERRALD:

I do know that it's from Danielle, who I went to college with.

TREY GERRALD:

So thank you, Danielle, for supporting, but I am really listening blind because I don't actually really know.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, so it's how many stars?

CHELSEY DONN:

it is a 5 serve you and we have the return of Amazon customer.

TREY GERRALD:

God.

TREY GERRALD:

Damnit.

CHELSEY DONN:

Goddamn GD Amazon customer, you know what I mean?

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, truly Amazon customer is like the Queen, queen,

VOICEOVER:

offenders,

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, truly, if Amazon customer were to be one person, they would really be the star of the show, like, they would deserve a byline, you know what I mean?

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, it's like, Review That Review, with Chelsey Donn and Trey Gerrald, featuring,

TREY GERRALD:

Amazon

CHELSEY DONN:

customer,

TREY GERRALD:

Hey, good fault.

TREY GERRALD:

All

CHELSEY DONN:

So you're already winning.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let's just say you're already winning with Amazon customer because at this point, Trey, I really think we just need to embrace it.

TREY GERRALD:

I think so.

TREY GERRALD:

I,

CHELSEY DONN:

So let's call them.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let's call them AC Slater.

CHELSEY DONN:

How about

TREY GERRALD:

Slater.

TREY GERRALD:

I love this.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right.

CHELSEY DONN:

So this is AC Slater's five star review of this sundress.

CHELSEY DONN:

The subject is recommended by world's worst mom.

CHELSEY DONN:

Here we go.

CHELSEY DONN:

I bought this for a ungrateful and entitled 21 year old daughter.

TREY GERRALD:

Oh,

CHELSEY DONN:

She wears about a 12 usually and I ordered an XL.

CHELSEY DONN:

It fit and looked great on her and if she had refrained from her moodiness, it would have had an even better effect.

CHELSEY DONN:

When I listened to her list my myriad faults, this cute dress gave me.

CHELSEY DONN:

Some distraction to try to tune her out.

CHELSEY DONN:

It costs about the same as a pack of birth control pills in 1997, which may have been a more prudent investment.

TREY GERRALD:

Oh my god, I'm getting political.

CHELSEY DONN:

mean,

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, well this is very funny.

TREY GERRALD:

Wait, when is Mother's Day?

TREY GERRALD:

Wait, when's Mother's Day?

TREY GERRALD:

Is

CHELSEY DONN:

my God.

CHELSEY DONN:

Tell me, please.

CHELSEY DONN:

No, I

TREY GERRALD:

it in June?

CHELSEY DONN:

a may.

CHELSEY DONN:

Wait.

TREY GERRALD:

in this episode, Wait, I think, hold on, wait, wait, wait.

CHELSEY DONN:

Stop, I'll die.

CHELSEY DONN:

May 12th is Mother's Day.

TREY GERRALD:

this is May 8th.

TREY GERRALD:

Wait, that's crazy.

TREY GERRALD:

This is the Mother's Day episode.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, so this is, well, we have to keep, no, we have to keep the sign because this is hilarious because it was literally that unplanned.

TREY GERRALD:

So obviously this is our Mother's Day episode.

TREY GERRALD:

That is so stupid.

TREY GERRALD:

That is so stupid.

CHELSEY DONN:

Why is the universe so funny?

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay, that's great.

CHELSEY DONN:

Well, happy Mother's Day, mom.

CHELSEY DONN:

of glad that you didn't have birth control.

CHELSEY DONN:

Wow,

TREY GERRALD:

Well, okay, so now I'm hearing it's this is from the mother so that subject is obviously tongue in cheek.

CHELSEY DONN:

recommended by world's worst mom.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

Right, got it.

TREY GERRALD:

Because I was like, wow, we're coming in hot.

TREY GERRALD:

And then when they're like, my 21 year old daughter, I was like, wait, is this from a grandmother?

TREY GERRALD:

Like, then I got very confused.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, this also occurred to me just off the top.

TREY GERRALD:

So obviously, like, the dynamic between parent and child can be and that does teen, teen, I just Freudian slipped, it does seem to pop off in the teens.

TREY GERRALD:

So, when you're 21, like I'm just wondering, when do you think that, like, period is?

TREY GERRALD:

But I guess 21, you're like, getting your independence,

CHELSEY DONN:

I still feel like you're still a kid.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like your mom is still buying things for you.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like you're still like maybe home for the summers in between college or home for winter break.

CHELSEY DONN:

You have like independence because you're in college, but you also like you're still a kid when you're home.

CHELSEY DONN:

So it's like Britney Spears, like I'm not a girl, not yet a woman phase of life, right?

TREY GERRALD:

Does your mom still purchase things for you?

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, does yours?

TREY GERRALD:

Not really, but we don't we don't do a lot of gifts giving in my family, but

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, it's more like we're at the store and I'm like, I really like that.

CHELSEY DONN:

And then my mom will be like, it's your birthday gift.

CHELSEY DONN:

You know what I mean?

TREY GERRALD:

right So I want the daughter to reply like I want to hear the daughter's point of view because I wonder if the daughter liked The dress because this really is a review about the joy you get From giving it to someone who is awful because then like you can distract yourself by like looking at it

CHELSEY DONN:

Totally.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you know like I know that this sort of varies as well, but like they said that she's a size 14

CHELSEY DONN:

She's a size 12.

TREY GERRALD:

So is that generally extra large?

TREY GERRALD:

I don't know like women's sizes necessarily.

CHELSEY DONN:

12, 14 is a extra large.

TREY GERRALD:

it.

TREY GERRALD:

I think I'm a size 16 if anyone's wondering.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, alright, So I think it's really funny because I instantly connect and relate to like the narrative that's going on.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you think that there's any value new or unique information about this supercala dress product?

CHELSEY DONN:

Well, we are being told that it fits.

CHELSEY DONN:

We're being told that it looks so nice that it distracts me from things that are bad in my life.

CHELSEY DONN:

And it's five stars.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I think, yeah, I think there is information that's being added here.

CHELSEY DONN:

I also think clearly this is being written for humor.

TREY GERRALD:

I would hope I hope this is not like

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, I think the fact that it was sort of a viral Amazon customer review.

CHELSEY DONN:

Speaks to the fact that it had to have been

TREY GERRALD:

and when we do these sort of jokey reviews I am always more warm hearted when it's a jokey five rather than a jokey one star.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah,

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes.

TREY GERRALD:

there any?

CHELSEY DONN:

a jokey one star is harmful.

CHELSEY DONN:

A jokey five star is harmful in this case to no one but A.

CHELSEY DONN:

C.

CHELSEY DONN:

Slater's daughter.

TREY GERRALD:

Is there?

TREY GERRALD:

So yes, I think the unique uniqueness here, Uniqueness here, is that like it's hilarious and like this is a funny take.

TREY GERRALD:

So, Okay, but I do know, because I have, I have experienced I don't want to say something gendered, but I have experienced the unique relationship between mother and daughter with many people in my lives and that's a very, can be a very specific, deeply nuanced, antagonistic, it's just, you know, people know your buttons and sometimes that can go back and forth, so obviously I think it's a joke review, but do you think there's any possibility that this is like a mother?

TREY GERRALD:

who is so over it with her fucking daughter that like

CHELSEY DONN:

She's putting her on

TREY GERRALD:

that she's literally like i keep getting this fucking email telling me there's you know what it's a great fucking sundress because my ungrateful motherfucking daughter hates every gift i give her fuck her she's such an ungrateful little brat god i wish i had had birth control stop sending me emails i mean

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah,

TREY GERRALD:

i don't think that's real but like could it be

CHELSEY DONN:

well, I guess like what I think that you're getting at maybe like the truthful shady Which like you've never approached shady from like this perspective because of anyone's being shaded It's the daughter which is sort of funny and unusual and I love that but I think the question is If the daughter read this review, would she be like, Mom, you're hilarious, like, get over yourself, or would she be like, hurt, like, oh my god, my mom just said on a public forum, again, anonymously, to point out, That she wishes she had birth control and didn't have

TREY GERRALD:

no because it only feels comical to me

CHELSEY DONN:

It only feels funny, right?

TREY GERRALD:

like I could,

CHELSEY DONN:

Nobody's getting

TREY GERRALD:

I could also see like in the relationship that like you give it as much as you like love it that I could see the daughter being like, okay, recommended from the world's worst daughter.

CHELSEY DONN:

right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, yeah,

TREY GERRALD:

Let your mother buy you these stupid frilly sundresses so that she doesn't have to receive all of her myriad of faults because she's a cunt.

TREY GERRALD:

Like, I could see it,

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you for the dress once a year, mom.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'll be sure to like add it to the pile of dresses that I never

TREY GERRALD:

and I'll continue by my birth control so you'll never be a grandmother.

CHELSEY DONN:

Exactly.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

No, I think you're right.

CHELSEY DONN:

I think that this is probably based on AC's

TREY GERRALD:

I

CHELSEY DONN:

is probably the family that just can throw

TREY GERRALD:

I think so, yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

It is really humorous to me.

CHELSEY DONN:

it is funny.

CHELSEY DONN:

No, it's, it's humorous to me too.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's why I was so excited that Danielle submitted it to us and that we got to share it with you guys.

CHELSEY DONN:

Do we think that this is a common experience and how do you think in this situation we assess common or fluke?

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, I've never had a child, I don't want to.

TREY GERRALD:

I can imagine that if I was, you know, clothing a child, I wonder how often, I don't know, even when I visit my little nephews, I'm like, Oh my god, these clothes are so cute, you know, and they can be having a meltdown, and I'm just like, aww, it has a little duck on it.

TREY GERRALD:

So like, I wonder if it is common to sort of like, be charmed by the cute little miniature, but that's a 21 year old, you're not, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

Is it, I don't know, I wonder what that experience is like, because I don't tend to buy people clothing, but that's what I'm saying, it's sort of like, this is like a personal essay of a narrative of a relationship, more than it is about the sundress.

CHELSEY DONN:

I know.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, I guess if we're trying to extract the elements of the review that are about the draft, we could say,

TREY GERRALD:

It

CHELSEY DONN:

you know, I usually wear a 12, I ordered the XL, it fit and looked great.

CHELSEY DONN:

That is sort of unusual.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's a real gamble out there, as you know, because I think we've bought stuff for podcast photo shoots.

CHELSEY DONN:

When you buy clothes on Amazon, I mean some people do it successfully, but I often find especially the trendier fashion on Amazon can be really low quality.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I do think that them saying that it fit, that it looked great, could be common.

TREY GERRALD:

I think so, too.

TREY GERRALD:

Spelling grammar is good, right?

CHELSEY DONN:

Spelling and grammar is obviously very intentional.

CHELSEY DONN:

What do we think AC does for a living?

TREY GERRALD:

That's a really good question.

TREY GERRALD:

I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

I want to say a stay at home mom, but that

CHELSEY DONN:

I know me too, but that feels like Agree.

CHELSEY DONN:

So if they had a job, I think that they like work at a really cute boot.

CHELSEY DONN:

No, no, because then they wouldn't be buying.

CHELSEY DONN:

Maybe they work at like a floral shop

TREY GERRALD:

because it's a fluoro.

CHELSEY DONN:

because it's a floral dress.

TREY GERRALD:

I don't know, I, I don't know, I kind of feel like, if you gave birth in 97,

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Nice math.

TREY GERRALD:

I don't know, I feel, I don't know, I don't know what their job would be, I feel like, I don't know, they seem very funny to me, because it's an intelligent humor in a way, I don't know, I really don't know, I could see how they,

CHELSEY DONN:

they own a local gift shop.

CHELSEY DONN:

I could see them being like a personality like, Hey, Jane, good to see you again.

CHELSEY DONN:

Got any good new jokes for me?

CHELSEY DONN:

What happened with Allie?

TREY GERRALD:

like here comes Jane with the fruitcake again, now I have a new door stopper, Alright, well then like, okay, the real question before we crown is like, do you think this would have any impact on you buying the dress?

CHELSEY DONN:

in a weird way, I think it does, like, I think that it's funny, and I also trust this mother, Um, who's clearly, like, Judgmental of their daughter, if they're saying that it's a good dress, I sort of believe them, that's the impact for me, How about you?

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, it might just draw traffic to the products page, which now it's unavailable, but I'm assuming there's other

CHELSEY DONN:

There's other, yes,

TREY GERRALD:

So like, I feel like mate, I don't know.

CHELSEY DONN:

Interesting, Trey is completely stumped, do you think you could figure it out while we crown?

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, let's do it.

CHELSEY DONN:

Alright, let's do it.

TREY GERRALD:

So, Chelsey and I each have our own set of zero to five crown cards.

TREY GERRALD:

In an effort to be fair and not influence each other, we will simultaneously reveal our ratings.

VOICEOVER:

The Queens are tabulating,

VOICEOVER:

Central School

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay, interesting.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm holding up four and a half crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey's holding up three and a half.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey, tell us why three and a half crowns for A.

CHELSEY DONN:

C.

CHELSEY DONN:

Slater.

CHELSEY DONN:

Full crown less than I'm giving.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, since we are the Review Queens, I do feel like I appreciate that it is jokey, but giving five.

TREY GERRALD:

It's not really harming the product, if anything, it's, uh, it's drawing more attention to it, which I think is queenly.

CHELSEY DONN:

Mm hmm.

TREY GERRALD:

And, as we often discuss, so often the review section can just be so tepid and boring, and this is like full personality, so like I really want to acknowledge that, it's a little more than half way, I got a huge chuckle, it did go viral, so the people have spoken, and it has connected Danielle with us, and now here we are, so like there is some greatness behind it, but as far as a review for the specific dress, I don't know that it's actually valuable but then when you are scouring it's sort of like this is the anomaly so it does have a lot of value so i'm just saying three and a half because it's a little more the middle of the road and i think it's very funny i think they did a great job so ac slater that's why i'm saying three and a half why did you say four and a half uh

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm giving Mama AC four and a half crowns because first of all, I am inflating for Danielle because I have to incorporate my own bias as a queen now, over two years into.

CHELSEY DONN:

Reading reviews, I think like I'm a little bit hardened, like it's hard to get like a laugh, a chuckle out of me or to show me something that's different and I think this review really did that.

CHELSEY DONN:

This stood out as a review, a subject, a way in to a product that we haven't heard before.

CHELSEY DONN:

So, for that uniqueness alone, I think I really had to, unique, really had to inflate my crowning.

CHELSEY DONN:

At this point, I didn't mention this when we were reviewing it, but I did find the actual product and the actual review on Amazon, and as of yesterday, there are 3, 258 reviews.

CHELSEY DONN:

People who have quote unquote found this helpful.

CHELSEY DONN:

So like you said, I think the people have spoken and for that, even if you don't check all the boxes, I'm going to give you high marks for that.

CHELSEY DONN:

And so that was why I went with nearly a Review Queen, four and a half crowns.

TREY GERRALD:

I love it, oh my gosh, Danielle, thank you so much for sharing,

CHELSEY DONN:

so fun!

TREY GERRALD:

obviously we are imploring all of you, if you've come across this stuff, send it, we appreciate the back and forth,

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes.

CHELSEY DONN:

Danielle, I hope we did you proud.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let us know what you think, please, when you hear this episode, Tell us if you would have crowned AC, Mama AC, Mama AC Slater, higher or lower than Trey and I did.

CHELSEY DONN:

We'd love to hear from you, and thank you.

CHELSEY DONN:

And with that, we have done it, Queen.

CHELSEY DONN:

We have reached the most regal portion of our show, Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let us know who you're nominating for Mmm,

VOICEOVER:

My Royal Highness

TREY GERRALD:

Alright, so today, I'm really excited.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm going to induct a sensation and feeling.

CHELSEY DONN:

mm hmm,

TREY GERRALD:

off feeling.

CHELSEY DONN:

hmm, haa,

TREY GERRALD:

like, knowing that you have a day off tomorrow helps today go by faster.

TREY GERRALD:

Waking up on a day off, you can just sort of wake up when you need, when you want.

TREY GERRALD:

You could take a nap.

TREY GERRALD:

Also, conversely, on a day off, you can do menial tasks that need to be completed.

TREY GERRALD:

It's really just this, like, charge.

TREY GERRALD:

It's like a reset.

TREY GERRALD:

There's nothing greater.

TREY GERRALD:

And, I, maybe this was on an episode of My Favorite Murder, they were talking about, they were saying what their favorite day of the week was, and the conversation turned into like, well, I guess it's like Thursday because I know Friday is like the beginning of the weekend and the other person was like no I like Saturday because you're in the middle and it really made me start thinking like oh I actually like I enjoy the fact that once Friday is done I have Saturday to myself.

TREY GERRALD:

So, like, a day off starts for me mentally the day before the day off, right?

TREY GERRALD:

And I am fortunate that my work schedule is so that I have a couple of days off in the week.

TREY GERRALD:

Some of them feel more day offy than the others, but, you know, in our culture of work, being able to have a day off, is of such value, another reason why I don't want to have kids, but I have to just bring it to the show.

TREY GERRALD:

I want everyone to just inhale and exhale, channel your own sense of the day off.

TREY GERRALD:

If someone is like a guru master, how do we have that feeling even on our days on?

TREY GERRALD:

There must be some profundity there.

TREY GERRALD:

So I'm just going to channel that as you all are calling in en masse.

TREY GERRALD:

Ditto.

TREY GERRALD:

Ditto.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

I approve.

CHELSEY DONN:

I love that.

CHELSEY DONN:

That is, that is true.

CHELSEY DONN:

We need to take the moments to identify those, like, just sort of exhale, relax moments, because we are so often caught up in the grind of it all, that it's important to indulge in those moments.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I'm glad part of my indulgence in that day off moment is actually being here with you, Trey, like truly.

TREY GERRALD:

Ditto.

TREY GERRALD:

Ditto.

TREY GERRALD:

But because we literally caught ourselves unaware, I do as we Reach the ending of today's episode.

TREY GERRALD:

Want to acknowledge all of the mothers.

TREY GERRALD:

Happy Mother's Day a couple of days early.

TREY GERRALD:

How hilarious that today's Mother's Day episode snuck up on all of us.

TREY GERRALD:

We're remembering each other's birthdays, but not Mother's Day, apparently.

TREY GERRALD:

And thank you, Danielle, your timing of sending that viral review timed perfectly for today for the world's worst mom review.

CHELSEY DONN:

Could not have planned it better.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, could not.

TREY GERRALD:

We love all of you.

TREY GERRALD:

Thank you for listening.

TREY GERRALD:

And we shout out all of the mothers, of

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes, of course.

TREY GERRALD:

we did it, Queen.

TREY GERRALD:

That is another round on the R U A R Q Ferris Wheel of generally ungrateful, entitled daughters with moodiness pointing out myriad faults.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right, mama.

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you for joining us today.

CHELSEY DONN:

If you like what you heard, please tell a friend.

TREY GERRALD:

And if you did not like what you heard, tell an enemy.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, everyone, on this week's After Show, speaking of mothers and family, Chelsey, you and I are going to be rating and reviewing a one star Google review for the Henry County Courthouse, And Napoleon, Ohio.

CHELSEY DONN:

my

TREY GERRALD:

Just wait, just wait for the tie in.

CHELSEY DONN:

I can't wait and I wonder why this was said,

TREY GERRALD:

It's just a direct like, how much longer?

TREY GERRALD:

And, and they're not shading you, they're not being a bitch, They're asking how much longer because you are allowed to ask that, but my god in the south, If you were to say, excuse me, what's the hold up?

TREY GERRALD:

People would be like, We have a mass shooter in the building.

TREY GERRALD:

That's a terrible joke, why did I say

CHELSEY DONN:

oh my god,

TREY GERRALD:

god.

CHELSEY DONN:

oh my goodness,

TREY GERRALD:

mothering, mothering and mothering, mother the house down mother, but remember mothers,

CHELSEY DONN:

ignore the haters, you're an MF and Queen,

TREY GERRALD:

gender non specific MF for queen.

CHELSEY DONN:

that's right,

TREY GERRALD:

Bye!

CHELSEY DONN:
