TREY GERRALD:

It doesn't sound right if I sing it as a boy, and I had to sing it as a girl, but I can't sing it as an alto, she's a

TREY GERRALD:

Woo!

TREY GERRALD:

Happy Valentine's Day!

CHELSEY DONN:

Happy Valentine's Day, Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

Happy Valentine's Day to our listeners.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you notice how that sped up into craziness?

CHELSEY DONN:

I did, I was thinking, wow, Trey really put in some editing pizazz into that clip.

CHELSEY DONN:

Really condensed it.

TREY GERRALD:

thought that would be a beautiful opening for our Valentine's episode, but it's so long!

TREY GERRALD:

Boy, oh boy, he took his time.

TREY GERRALD:

We, I don't have to, I

CHELSEY DONN:

we don't have that kind of time.

CHELSEY DONN:

We just don't have that kind of attention span anymore, you know?

TREY GERRALD:

spell the word and move on.

TREY GERRALD:

I don't need to hear you drag it out, Mr.

TREY GERRALD:

Sinatra.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, but also like, oh, I just sort of yearn for a time when we did care to listen.

TREY GERRALD:

well, in honor of Valentine's Day, we're going to be talking about all aspects of love later in the show, including unhealthy relationships.

TREY GERRALD:

So

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, okay, pin that, pinning it, I

TREY GERRALD:

an hour late because something has been occurring for you.

TREY GERRALD:

So I want to give you the floor.

TREY GERRALD:

In real time, too.

VOICEOVER:

Ledge a complaint,

CHELSEY DONN:

I had a whole other complaint plan, but I had to just pivot guys, because, do you guys get headaches?, I get the worst headaches, recently a friend told me that 80 percent of headaches are dehydration,

TREY GERRALD:

Oh,

CHELSEY DONN:

and I think, we all know where I sit,

TREY GERRALD:

this.

TREY GERRALD:

You have purchased me at least three water bottles over the years.

TREY GERRALD:

Are you using the gifts you're giving me

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm not Trey,

TREY GERRALD:

still?

TREY GERRALD:

So it's still a thing,

CHELSEY DONN:

it's still like a major thing the hydration is like a really a thing

TREY GERRALD:

What do you think it is?

TREY GERRALD:

You just aren't thirsty?

CHELSEY DONN:

I I think I just like I don't love the taste of regular water So then I like and I know like I also like to have it really cold Then there's some sort of science that says cold is no good You gotta do warm like David.

CHELSEY DONN:

I drink these like vitamin waters.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't drink enough, like regular water.

CHELSEY DONN:

And even when I have regular water, it's like, I want to add a little lemon to it.

CHELSEY DONN:

I just don't like the taste of water and I just don't drink very much in general.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, it's not like I'm drinking soda all day.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like I'm just, I'm not drinking.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, Costco sells, it's like, a 12 pack of these like, giant 1 liter alkalinity waters where it's like, pH balanced, and it's supposed to be like, very, like, good for you, I wonder if that tastes, it doesn't taste like anything to me, but water doesn't really taste like anything to me, Which is like a benefit I'm hearing.

TREY GERRALD:

But it's funny because also as someone who doesn't really like soda, those vitamin waters are not the tea for me, honey.

TREY GERRALD:

I

CHELSEY DONN:

Really?

CHELSEY DONN:

The vitamin water zeroes?

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm not into it.

TREY GERRALD:

The, the, the taste is not my palate, but I,

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, I'm, I'm sort of like specific with the flavors that I like when it comes to vitamin water zero.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm very picky.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like there's certain ones that I'm like, even like ones that people, yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Anyway, guys, I'm sorry, this is dragging on, but the point is I get really bad headaches.

CHELSEY DONN:

If you have any suggestions, let me know.

CHELSEY DONN:

I just bought this eye thing, iology.

CHELSEY DONN:

It gives me this eye massage for, I guess, 20 minutes.

CHELSEY DONN:

I thought it was going to be like a quick five minute thing.

CHELSEY DONN:

And I was like, this thing is still going.

CHELSEY DONN:

So it really like massages my eyes because I think partially it's also sinuses because allergies and all that and that kind of helps.

TREY GERRALD:

Does it feel any better

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, it feels much better than it did before for sure.

CHELSEY DONN:

I also took medicine and like I think everything is hopefully kind of kicking in as we get into this recording.

CHELSEY DONN:

But this, you know, it's just one of those things like it will just take you out of the game no matter what you're doing.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like you got work that day, you got a migraine, like, sorry, no workie.

CHELSEY DONN:

You know, so it's hard to muster through, but I also want to muster through, because I have exciting things happening today, like recording with you, Trey, and I'm meeting up with a friend I haven't seen in a long time, later today, and so we're gonna turn this around.

CHELSEY DONN:

You guys, this show is my medicine, so.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm, I'm, uh, happy to be here celebrating Valentine's Day with my Queen a time.

TREY GERRALD:

Queen of Tyne.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, we're glad that you're mustering through.

TREY GERRALD:

We've all been there and we appreciate it.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

All right, well, do you want to muster a little more into a review from the internet?

CHELSEY DONN:

I would love nothing more, Trey,

TREY GERRALD:

Let's do it!

VOICEOVER:

Review That Review,

CHELSEY DONN:

As you know, we are your trusty Review Queens.

CHELSEY DONN:

We bring in reviews from the internet that we feel need to be inspected.

TREY GERRALD:

We read you a review, break it down, and rate the impact of that review on a scale from zero to five crowns.

TREY GERRALD:

This is a very regal process that we call

VOICEOVER:

Assess That Kvetch,

CHELSEY DONN:

it's your turn this week.

CHELSEY DONN:

You have the Valentine's Day floor.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let us know what kind of love have you brought in for us today?

TREY GERRALD:

As I teased earlier, today we're gonna dive into a review that's covering a mischievous This world, around a love triangle, disguise, and going through mirrors, and candles and boats, is any of this ringing a bell to you?

TREY GERRALD:

Of pipe organs, and vocalizing, candles and boats, going through a mirror,

CHELSEY DONN:

Alice in Wonderland?

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh,

TREY GERRALD:

Close.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

That's it for

CHELSEY DONN:

Russian Doll?

CHELSEY DONN:

No?

TREY GERRALD:

No, this is predating all of it.

TREY GERRALD:

Today, Chelsey, I have brought in a five star Yelp review for The Phantom of the Opera The Musical on Broadway.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my god, is that the storyline?

CHELSEY DONN:

I never followed it.

CHELSEY DONN:

I did.

CHELSEY DONN:

I even,

TREY GERRALD:

It is hard to track.

TREY GERRALD:

I would, I would agree with that.

CHELSEY DONN:

yeah, I saw Fand, it was like one of the first shows that I saw when I was so young that I remember nothing from that show other than dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, and then like the guy with the mask, half mask.

TREY GERRALD:

The Phantom.

CHELSEY DONN:

Phantom of the, yeah, that's it, like The Phantom, but I, I like, did not know the storyline.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, it's interesting because, sadly, The Phantom eventually did close on Broadway after

CHELSEY DONN:

Was it, it was the longest running show, wasn't it?

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

alright, so today we're gonna review Myra S's 5 star Yelp review, and I want you to know, Chelsey, Myra is an elite,

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, thank goodness.

CHELSEY DONN:

I only like to deal with professionals, if I can help it.

TREY GERRALD:

and I'm just noticing, this is very fucking weird,

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

this review was written exactly two years ago today.

CHELSEY DONN:

Whoa, crazy.

TREY GERRALD:

is so weird.

TREY GERRALD:

So this is gonna be an interesting review, Chelsea, because since Myra is a re is is an elite reviewer, we do have three images that are attached and each image has a caption.

TREY GERRALD:

So I'm gonna read you the review and then I will send you each of the images and I'm gonna have you

CHELSEY DONN:

Describe them.

TREY GERRALD:

read the caption.

CHELSEY DONN:

Done.

CHELSEY DONN:

Easy.

TREY GERRALD:

need, we need it all before we start.

TREY GERRALD:

sharing

CHELSEY DONN:

Before we start disclosing our opinions on Myra.

TREY GERRALD:

Exactly.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay, not leading the witness here, Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, here we go.

TREY GERRALD:

A very special Valentine's Day review.

TREY GERRALD:

Here we are.

TREY GERRALD:

1 15 2022.

TREY GERRALD:

Enter.

TREY GERRALD:

In sing song voice, dot, dot, dot.

TREY GERRALD:

The Phantom of the Opera is here!

TREY GERRALD:

Exclamation mark.

TREY GERRALD:

Another experience to check off my bucket list Excl mark.

TREY GERRALD:

Now, I don't know if Myra wants me to keep Singsong it, but I'm assuming no, because they do an enter.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm getting old school, uh, Rehearsal Review That Review vibes.

TREY GERRALD:

should I do it in a singsong or no?

TREY GERRALD:

I think it might.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm gonna let the artist choose his journey.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, well, I'm assuming, okay, so if it's that tune, The theater, can't, I don't think, I think I'm gonna lose the narrative if I do it all in sing song.

TREY GERRALD:

I'll sing song each category,

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

and I want it to be pointed out that Myra Spells Theater are E.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, like a true queen.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, here we go.

TREY GERRALD:

So it was enter.

TREY GERRALD:

The theater, spelled R E,

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh god.

TREY GERRALD:

just as I imagined it, all caps, majestic, The high ceilings and the cylindrical shape of the walls, Bounced the vibrations of each mellow, one action note at a time, The speakers need tweaking, There were several occurrences where there were frequency interferences.

TREY GERRALD:

I started it so high.

TREY GERRALD:

Then we have an enter.

TREY GERRALD:

The preformance, Phantom Killian Donnelly, Killed it!, I am in love with your voice, Bravo to the whole cast!, Pitch perfect and

TREY GERRALD:

spot on, Performer continued success, Enter.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my god, Trey.

TREY GERRALD:

It doesn't sound right if I sing it as a boy, and I had to sing it as a girl, but I can't sing it as an alto, she's a

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, you're singing, you're hitting the notes, Queen,

TREY GERRALD:

Not really.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

The experience!

TREY GERRALD:

This trip is a celebration of life!

CHELSEY DONN:

oh my god, Trey,

TREY GERRALD:

Enter.

CHELSEY DONN:

we might have lost it,

TREY GERRALD:

Christ.

TREY GERRALD:

Your head's gonna start pounding.

TREY GERRALD:

Stop laughing.

CHELSEY DONN:

I know, okay,

TREY GERRALD:

okay, here we go.

CHELSEY DONN:

yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

So I've just sung, The experience, this trip is a celebration of life,

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, should we switch out of it?

CHELSEY DONN:

That was

TREY GERRALD:

I've already said many things that I hope were not lost, because I was singing, okay, okay,

CHELSEY DONN:

so good, though.

TREY GERRALD:

just something to consider, I don't know if I'm supposed to sing it this way, Myra, okay, I'm a little more clarity that I'm not leading the witness,

CHELSEY DONN:

think all of this could have been changed if she just put Ed's sing songy voice here.

TREY GERRALD:

right, oh, okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Alright,

TREY GERRALD:

Alright, then it says, okay, My good friend Sarah has a merry birthday this fine day, and I was lucky enough to get an invitation to join a crew of misfits, semi colon, Martha, Ariel, Marie, Sean Trill, Jen, and Cammie,

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my god.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh

TREY GERRALD:

Jen, our dear friend.

CHELSEY DONN:

god.

TREY GERRALD:

I also commemorate my dearest sister, Myra C., I can't say the last name, for without her influence, I might not have gained the culture of theater arts.

TREY GERRALD:

I celebrate you, 8, spelled A T E, my legendary sister.

TREY GERRALD:

The life of those who imprinted memorable life lessons, life goals, and life achievements will forever be in our hearts.

TREY GERRALD:

We honor their memory.

TREY GERRALD:

Thanks for the excellent experience!

TREY GERRALD:

I shall take!

TREY GERRALD:

Exclamation mark.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, now hold, because we're not, we're not reviewing yet.

CHELSEY DONN:

okay,

TREY GERRALD:

Myra has attached three photos, so.

CHELSEY DONN:

the artist formerly known as Myra, but we'll continue.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, so, I'm sending you the first one, and I need you to describe it and read the captions.

CHELSEY DONN:

I got it.

CHELSEY DONN:

Alright, so the, the caption says, Happy Birthday, Sarah, with an H.

CHELSEY DONN:

Even though Sarah is already spelled out with an H, just to point out, but we just, we highlighted that.

TREY GERRALD:

joke, maybe.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's maybe, it's an inside joke of theirs.

CHELSEY DONN:

And then, we have, Hmm, hard to say if it's Sarah or Myra.

CHELSEY DONN:

We have two ladies sitting in the theater and like with a jacket by their side.

CHELSEY DONN:

One of them has a headband on and a cozy sweater and her hand is touching her neck and she's just smiling.

CHELSEY DONN:

And then the other person, which I don't know if it's Myra or not, has a mask on.

CHELSEY DONN:

Not a phantom mask, more like a masquerade ball mask, like a lacy masquerade mask.

CHELSEY DONN:

Around just their eyes and then they have a COVID mask around their ears that looks almost like a beard and then they have a dress and a jacket on.

CHELSEY DONN:

It looks like two young gal pals.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like I would say these girls look like they could be in high school, honestly,

TREY GERRALD:

I think that too.

CHELSEY DONN:

right?

TREY GERRALD:

I've never met a high schooler named Myra.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, so this could be a Myra High School.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right, next.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay, next we have, God, I can't tell if we have a returning character.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's a returning character on the right with the jacket.

CHELSEY DONN:

Is that a recurring?

TREY GERRALD:

I believe, I believe that is Myra.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay, I think Myra here is recurring.

CHELSEY DONN:

Myra has a mask on and a jacket over her dress and now she's found another friend and that friend also has their mask, well, both their masks like COVID, black COVID mask and their same lacy eye masks.

CHELSEY DONN:

Also just mugging for the camera.

CHELSEY DONN:

My girls is the caption.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

then here's the final one.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Now this is kind of making me think about this review a little bit differently.

CHELSEY DONN:

So this is interesting.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Now we have a caption that says, Misfits, and now it looks like everybody is in that.

CHELSEY DONN:

Well, maybe not everybody because there's eight, but one, two, three, four, we got five in the shot, all at the theater, all alone in every one of these pictures I want to point out.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, nobody is behind them.

CHELSEY DONN:

What time did they get to the theater?

CHELSEY DONN:

They must have gotten there very early because the, or they stayed very late.

CHELSEY DONN:

because the place is just cleared they're all wearing masks and they all look like they're in high school

TREY GERRALD:

a great distinction.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay,

CHELSEY DONN:

that it i can talk now

TREY GERRALD:

Oh,

CHELSEY DONN:

with the attendance sheet?

CHELSEY DONN:

But now the attendance sheet makes more sense in this context, because these kids probably have attendance sheets regularly.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, maybe they, maybe they, for a class, a high school assignment, they even had to go to a show and write this review.

CHELSEY DONN:

And part of getting the assignment was that all their names be listed.

CHELSEY DONN:

So that they could all get the credit.

CHELSEY DONN:

Also, somewhere in the review, didn't Myra say, like, my sister Myra, that's like one question,

TREY GERRALD:

my dearest

CHELSEY DONN:

sister, my dearest, yeah, my dearest sister Myra, so now I'm thinking, okay, so the artist formerly known as Myra, is now Myra's sister,

TREY GERRALD:

I guess,

CHELSEY DONN:

Question mark.

TREY GERRALD:

then they later say, We celebrate you, eight, A T E, my legendary sister, so is the,

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

And then also like a weird question, and I don't mean to like, not be serious if this deserves seriousness, but like, did somebody die?

CHELSEY DONN:

Or,

TREY GERRALD:

I was wondering that, too, because we are commemorating someone's life?

TREY GERRALD:

Well, they say we gained an angel from our misfit Jen, so

CHELSEY DONN:

yeah, the, yeah, the game, an angel.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm like, did Jen die?

TREY GERRALD:

is Jen a new friend they met at the theater?

CHELSEY DONN:

That's right.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't know.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, I'm like, is Jen a new friend?

CHELSEY DONN:

Is Jen a new misfit?

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, she's the new, she's the catty heron.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, she's the new girl in town.

CHELSEY DONN:

And like, we gained a new one.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, hey, Jen, what up, Jen?

CHELSEY DONN:

Or is it like, we gained an angel that night when Jen died from laughing at Phantom of the Opera.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm very confused.

CHELSEY DONN:

And then also just for clarity sake for the singing part.

CHELSEY DONN:

So were we, what were we saying in that part?

CHELSEY DONN:

Were we talking about, I don't know.

CHELSEY DONN:

I heard something about the sound quality because of the first the sound quality because of the high like roof or whatever the high ceilings and then the yeah the shape was like a really nice like echoey whatever for the voices which I believe but then we also like did a complaint sandwich in that part as well when we talked about the sound quality issues being like spotty and sometimes like they need to get a handle on that but clearly that didn't you Hinder the five star.

CHELSEY DONN:

So that was interesting.

CHELSEY DONN:

That kind of made me maybe trust Myra a little bit more because I was like, this isn't I The question is what is it?

CHELSEY DONN:

That's what I haven't wrapped my head around I don't know what it is as a review, but I do know that it's not just like all daisies Which is good for a five

TREY GERRALD:

And what is interesting is that I'm going to send you a little screenshot just so you can see how it's written out because in the singing that I was doing, they break it into two categories.

TREY GERRALD:

They say, or three.

TREY GERRALD:

They say the theater and they discuss it.

TREY GERRALD:

Then they say the performance.

TREY GERRALD:

They only point out the Phantom actor.

TREY GERRALD:

They don't talk about Christine.

TREY GERRALD:

They don't talk about Raul, Carlotta.

TREY GERRALD:

They don't talk about any of the other people singing, but they do say like, Bravo to the whole cast.

TREY GERRALD:

I pray for your continued success.

TREY GERRALD:

Sweetest statement ever.

TREY GERRALD:

And then they talk about the experience and they say it's a celebration of life, which then goes into the roll call and did someone die who told them about theater or,

CHELSEY DONN:

Right.

TREY GERRALD:

I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean,

CHELSEY DONN:

the experience is where I really get confused

TREY GERRALD:

I also think it's very interesting in the era of Broadway returning and you have to wear a COVID mask.

TREY GERRALD:

And then there was a time when it was optional, but it looks like this was We could look on the calendar, but when it was mandatory, and then to be wearing an eye mask and the COVID mask is pretty

CHELSEY DONN:

right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Well, I guess at the same, yes, but then at the same time I can see you being like, well, I want to go to Fandom and I want to wear my eye mask.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I'm not gonna let a mask ruin my eye

TREY GERRALD:

I'm just saying, wanting to wear an eye mask to see Phantom is to pick a winner off

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my god.

CHELSEY DONN:

But it does make sense if these girls are in high school, because I can totally see it being like, Oh my God, you guys, let's go see Phantom for Sarah's birthday with Sarah with an

TREY GERRALD:

the

CHELSEY DONN:

And, or maybe Sarah with an H is like, Guys, I want to take everybody to Phantom for my birthday.

TREY GERRALD:

the winner can whisper any insight, conclusion

CHELSEY DONN:

that.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, Meryl, never heard that, I don't think.

CHELSEY DONN:

Maybe, no, but maybe they could have gone, or if it's written on January 15th, they could have gone around Christmas time, so maybe like, it was sort of like a friend Christmas thing, and also it was Sarah's birthday.

TREY GERRALD:

Found this and looked at the images is that it is a group of high school girls or like Juvenile girls and they're seeing this Broadway show and they're like obsessed They're making an event out of it.

TREY GERRALD:

And so the review is sort of like what but the fact that this is a an elite reviewer Is very perplexing to me.

CHELSEY DONN:

I think that it's sort of like building towards a point that I've had about elite reviewers for a while, which is that there's a way to crack the algorithm.

CHELSEY DONN:

If you're writing posts of a certain length, and you're including photos.

CHELSEY DONN:

And you're doing that with regularity.

CHELSEY DONN:

You will become an elite.

CHELSEY DONN:

Are you, like, the most educated, queenly elite that's, like, should really be working for broadcast news?

CHELSEY DONN:

No, but

TREY GERRALD:

that, so that's the great segue here, because what is the value, new or unique information in this review?

TREY GERRALD:

If you are going to go see Phantom, what does Myra share about the show with you?

CHELSEY DONN:

I just feel like I would be so distracted by like all the other elements of the review that even though there's like some nuggets in there, like the sound issues, the cast is great, and maybe it's a good place to celebrate something, other than that, I'm like, there's a lot of personal in here, which I do like, but the balance was a little off here.

TREY GERRALD:

unbalanced.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, I love that it's like celebrating the love of this friendship and possibly commemorating a dead sister or a dead art teacher or something, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

Spelling grammar is good, I mean, it's formatted and there aren't really typos, it just, yeah, I don't, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

Truth.

CHELSEY DONN:

sort of reminds me of that Clueless monologue where Travis Birkenstock is like, I gotta thank the bus driver for never giving me a ride, the employees at McDonald's for being so, you know, specific about the way they make those egg McMuffins, without which I might never be tardy.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, at the end of this, That's what they're doing.

CHELSEY DONN:

They're like, Myra Cole, for without her influence, I might not have gained the culture of theater arts.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, what is happening?

TREY GERRALD:

is sweet.

TREY GERRALD:

Like I and in some like alternate world, or maybe this is what it is, I could see 'cause they state that this is an experience to check off my bucket list.

TREY GERRALD:

Like going to see the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway at the Majestic Theater where this literally opened in 1982.

TREY GERRALD:

Like nothing has changed and it is.

TREY GERRALD:

2022.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, that's fucking crazy.

TREY GERRALD:

It's crazy.

TREY GERRALD:

That

CHELSEY DONN:

right, right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah,

TREY GERRALD:

special, right?

TREY GERRALD:

And to like, be overcome by that and to think of the person that introduced you to Theater and sure, but I don't, I, is that, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, is this, I can't gauge truthful shady.

TREY GERRALD:

I think, is it shady to make a post so you can be elite?

TREY GERRALD:

Is it truthful because Killian Donnelly killed the performance and I'm going to pray for their continued success?

TREY GERRALD:

Like, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

And is it common, fluky,

CHELSEY DONN:

Is it like more truthful just like that you're not or more evident that you're not trying to be shady by the fact that you include these photos that sort of highlights like who you are and I believe that maybe a high schooler would be like this obsessed with her friend group that she might write something like this thinking like everybody is in on the

TREY GERRALD:

And also, like, we talked about this when I did the Wicked review on Yelp, like, this is a Broadway musical being reviewed on Yelp,

CHELSEY DONN:

On Yelp, I

TREY GERRALD:

which is not necessarily where people, I mean, I would even think of

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, they do.

CHELSEY DONN:

I wouldn't, I guess I wouldn't, but I know I think that like it's, it's become more commonplace,

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, this was a year, two years ago, so maybe you're right, maybe it's becoming a thing, because it is an event,

CHELSEY DONN:

right.

CHELSEY DONN:

And it is in New York City.

TREY GERRALD:

So like if I was like coming as a tourist and I saw this like I see that Myra had a great time with their friends and they were being cute because they wore masks and

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, it doesn't hurt Phantom of the Opera in any way.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, the only thing that's like, would hurt them a little bit is the frequency issues, because that for me, like, I hate that, but I think not enough of a ding to really do anything.

CHELSEY DONN:

Doesn't move the needle in a negative way.

TREY GERRALD:

and then like humor

CHELSEY DONN:

Were we, I mean, I was entertained, like, clearly, I was, like, laughing hysterically, I think it's really funny that Myra was, like, and the following will be done in a sing songy voice, like, I don't know, I kind of think that's queenly and funny.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, no, I thought there were, were a lot of, like, endearing moments in this, especially now reflecting back that it's a kid, like, I do think it was fun.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, I just don't, I'm not sure about like impact wise, I don't, I don't really know, but I think I could crown Myra, how are you feeling?

CHELSEY DONN:

okay, I think I can crown Myra.

TREY GERRALD:

so Chelsey and I each have our own set of zero to five crown cards, in an effort to be fair and not influence each Valentine's self other, we are going to simultaneously reveal our Valentine's Day ratings.

VOICEOVER:

The Queens are tabulating, Total Score,

CHELSEY DONN:

this is funny.

CHELSEY DONN:

So, Trey's holding up two crowns and I'm holding up three and a half crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

I really feel like I, uh, weighted my score for high school.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, I was probably at, like, a two.

CHELSEY DONN:

And then when I realized, like, alright, you know, we're playing JV a little bit here.

CHELSEY DONN:

This is a kid.

CHELSEY DONN:

I raised mine up to three and a half because at the end of the day, I was very entertained.

CHELSEY DONN:

If not, by nothing else, Trey's performance of it.

CHELSEY DONN:

And I feel like, for that alone, It deserves three and a half crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, people are probably going to have fun with this review and there's so much of like the mundane, same shit, different person out there.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I think this really stands out for me.

CHELSEY DONN:

So that's why I went with three and a half.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't understand the story.

CHELSEY DONN:

Would love to know if we're celebrating someone who's dearly departed, but other than that, it was fun.

CHELSEY DONN:

No harm, no foul.

CHELSEY DONN:

Three and a half.

CHELSEY DONN:

Why two?

TREY GERRALD:

I just said two because ultimately I don't think it's, like, very useful.

TREY GERRALD:

I think it's, like, cute and I, as someone who was an absolute musical theater nerd and would spell theater R E and still do to this day, I

CHELSEY DONN:

oh yeah, we didn't even talk

TREY GERRALD:

Like, I feel like I, I'm seeing a younger self reflected in

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes,

TREY GERRALD:

so I want to be loving to that, but the whole, like, diatribe at the end kind of felt like that To Me review about the betting, like, where it's just, like, I'm not sure, like, why you're including all of this, and I saw it, This is a tangent that can go on the after show, but I just want to quickly state since Phantom has left, It was like one of the first national tours I ever saw, it was the second I ever saw, and I didn't see it on Broadway until 2019 right before the pandemic, and it really was like such a magical experience to be in that theater and think like How long it had been there, and that doesn't happen on Broadway.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean it was like truly A beautiful, magical time capsule to walk into.

TREY GERRALD:

So I can, I can feel that from Myra that, you know, it was amazing.

TREY GERRALD:

I just don't know how valuable it stands on its own.

TREY GERRALD:

So I said two because I have a lot of love for Myra, but I don't know how good of a review that is.

TREY GERRALD:

And also just to quickly state, same with Wicked.

TREY GERRALD:

There's a lot of like, bro y comment reviews that are like, My wife dragged me to this, this is stupid.

TREY GERRALD:

So I appreciated the affinity, even if it like, went off the rails.

CHELSEY DONN:

a little off the

TREY GERRALD:

But, as you said earlier, Chelsey, if you don't have a Valentine, you have us, and that was Myra with her girlies, so,

CHELSEY DONN:

yes, full circle, that's right,

TREY GERRALD:

Well, my Queen, in that positive, uplifting, love energy, we have reached the most regal portion of the show.

TREY GERRALD:

So, Chelsey, I'd love to know, who were you inducting today?

TREY GERRALD:

For?

VOICEOVER:

My Royal Highness,

CHELSEY DONN:

well, thanks for asking Trey, and I want to induct one of my favorite places to go in LA, which is Vibrato Grill Jazz, have we talked about this Trey?

TREY GERRALD:

spell that.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, Vibrato, V I B R A T O, like the voice, which is also interesting because you picked a musical and we're so in sync, I know, bizarre, but it's one of L.

CHELSEY DONN:

A.

CHELSEY DONN:

's most exciting restaurants, Vibrato Grill Jazz is also the city's premier jazz space, it's warm and elegant Vibrato,

CHELSEY DONN:

V I B R A T O, Best in Contemporary Cuisine, conceived by 9 time Grammy winning music icon Herb Albert.

CHELSEY DONN:

Vibrato brings these elements together in stupendous harmony for an experience that's a delight to all the senses.

CHELSEY DONN:

I just love vibrato.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's one of those weird, like, time machine places where you enter into a shopping center and then when you cross through the threshold of the restaurant door, you're like, wow, I'm in a totally new space and it's just beautiful and they've celebrated birthdays there.

CHELSEY DONN:

So great to have a place that's.

CHELSEY DONN:

Nearby, where I can see live performance, I love live performance, and it's rare that you find a place that is serving food and has music, and the food is also so delicious, so it's a real treat, it's a special occasions type place, so I thought, what, what better time than Valentine's Day to induct Vibrato's Grill and Lounge as my Royal Highness,

TREY GERRALD:

Vibratos, I love that.

TREY GERRALD:

Alright, so the next time I'm in LA,

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, you have to come, a 100%.

CHELSEY DONN:

My mom is like so mad because I keep talking about it and she's like, why haven't we gone yet?

CHELSEY DONN:

But you know, there's a lot of pieces that have to fall together.

TREY GERRALD:

Vibratos, we love you and shout out and we hope you have a romantic evening.

CHELSEY DONN:

Have a romantic evening of vibratos.

TREY GERRALD:

Alright, well, we did it,

CHELSEY DONN:

We did.

TREY GERRALD:

TREY GERRALD:

I have a degree in musical theater and I don't use it, okay?

TREY GERRALD:

So, I have my own demons.

TREY GERRALD:

So go tell an enemy, you little

CHELSEY DONN:

That's right.

TREY GERRALD:

If you're judging my opera voice, this is a podcast.

CHELSEY DONN:

TREY GERRALD:

TREY GERRALD:

Although we do sing a fuckin lot on this fuckin show.

TREY GERRALD:

And we all know how I feel about karaoke.

CHELSEY DONN:

We all know how Trey feels about karaoke, which is why I love this so much for you, but you are fabulous and I found it hilarious and I'm sure lots of other people will too.

CHELSEY DONN:

But we have something on the after show, don't we?

TREY GERRALD:

I hope so.

TREY GERRALD:

Do we?

CHELSEY DONN:

And we do, don't we?

TREY GERRALD:

I don't know!

TREY GERRALD:

TREY GERRALD:

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you, a new source, for Glitter Hearts Toilet Bombs.

CHELSEY DONN:

CHELSEY DONN:

TREY GERRALD:

TREY GERRALD:

CHELSEY DONN:

CHELSEY DONN:

TREY GERRALD:

noticing that you're not talking because you don't want to go to prison.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's right, I know nothing about this, This is all news to me, Yeah, hard to imagine, hard to imagine, But uh, sure, there's a reason,

CHELSEY DONN:

That was

TREY GERRALD:

in full disclosure, I did not have the intention to sing song that.

TREY GERRALD:

It occurred in the moment.

TREY GERRALD:

But as it was occurring in the moment, I was doing it, I was like, I know I'm like, piercingly high right now, and she like, literally has a

CHELSEY DONN:

a headache?

CHELSEY DONN:

But it was great.

CHELSEY DONN:

I loved it.
